A Community on the Rise

The Cumberland Galleria area in northwest Atlanta is on its way to becoming a true live-work-play community. The Cumberland Community Improvement District (CID) is a public-private partnership comprised of self-taxing commercial property owners. The CID provides funding to start the necessary planning process for roads, streetscapes, trails and other infrastructure improvements, while federal, state and county dollars pay for the bulk of project construction. In addition, 256,000 square feet of retail, 1.2 million square feet of office and 5,800 residential units are being added to the area. These residential and mixed-use projects bring more high-end homes and retail to the Cumberland Galleria area.
