 The historic community of Marietta, Georgia invites one and all to experience the 24th Annual Art in the Park festival, September 4-6, 2010.  This fine art extravaganza held each Labor Day weekend is proud to be Top 20 Event by Southeast Tourism Society for the fourth consecutive year. 


The juried fine art show will spotlight 130 artists whose works include paintings, photography, pottery, graphics, sculptures, jewelry and much more.  Artists representing 16 states will display and sell their wares in Glover Park.   Back by popular demand is the Interactive Art Alley full of many wonderful and free make and take art stations.


Explore unique shops and boutiques; dine at one of the many outstanding restaurants all located in and around the downtown area.  Weekend parking is free in the Cherokee Street Parking Deck.  Attractions such as the Cobb/Marietta Museum of Art, the Marietta Museum of History, the Strand Theatre and the Theatre in the Square will feature special weekend hours. 

US 10K Classic Family Festival

The Family Festival is a health, fitness, arts, entertainment and sports expo held the Saturday and Sunday before Labor Day. More than 35,000 attendees over the two days will enjoy browsing through exhibitor booths and artists market in the gardens, trying out new fitness apparel and gear, picking up race packets, registering for the race and sampling food and beverages. Live entertainment is featured throughout the two days from local and national artists. The Family Festival is also the offi cial race expo for the U.S. 10K Classic and is free to the public. It is the ideal environment to showcase your product/message to a captive audience.

ATTENTION FASHIONISTAS! ‘PROJECT STYLE’ ROLLS INTO TOWN CENTER AT COBB
September 3, 2010

 Town Center at Cobb, along with its parent company Simon Property Group, Coke, Modelinia, Dermalogica, and Nintendo will sponsor the all-new traveling exhibit that will provide chic fashion tips, hair and skin consultations and more at Town Center at Cobb from 3 p.m. – 9 p.m. in the Center Court on Friday, September 3. Some of the Project Style stations will include:



  • Skin Care: Dermalogica will provide skin consultations. A professional consultant will be on hand to suggest the best possible skin care treatments. Teens will receive information from Regis Salons where Dermalogica is sold.

  • Style Quiz: Coke is sponsoring a Modelinia Stylizer Quiz to match up personal style with mall retailers. The quiz will provide shoppers with a personalized shopping list that matches their style.

  • Entertainment: Nintendo also is providing demos for its new DS handheld game – Dragon Quest IX, Sentinels of the Starry Skies – to entertain teen gamers.

  • Professional Fashion Consultations: Teens will have the opportunity to learn from professionals about what's in and what's hot in the world of fashion, hair and makeup and how to wear it to create their own celebrity spark. Two stylists will conduct hair and makeup demonstrations.
